California's Secretary of Education Richard Riordan stopped at the Santa Barbara Central Library to promote a summer reading program and chat with students. One girl named Isis asked Riordan if he knew what her name meant. "It means stupid, dirty girl," Riordan replied, reports the Sacramento Bee.
